Brian,
I had the same experience a year ago when I re-subscribed to
Cycle World at the Seattle MC show, having subscribed there the
year before.  I missed three flippin' issues!!!  I finally got
the folks at CW to admit that the trade show subscribers are
independent contractors who have 90 days[!] to turn in the
subscription data.  Never again!

OTOH, I sent in my subscription card for MCN just before
Christmas & rec'd the January issue.
