Hrm, that is crappy, and she's certainly had problems that she shouldn't
with a bike still under warranty, but my question is

Why is she continually riding this POS to events in Indiana, St. Louis,
Mississipi, Louisiana, etc if she KNOWS it has problems and is not
running right?
