RE: [ST] Latest Rumours on the 2.2 liter Triumph



I had also attended that show when it was at the Javitts Center in NYC, and
asked about the 22. The response I got was a bit different, from the
northeast area manager. He told me we'd see it formally presented in late
2003, perhaps November. He also said he'd been to England and saw one in
testing, and that it was putting down over 150 lbs/ft of torque (sorry,
don't know the kg/m conversion) at only 2800rpm, had 4" (approx. 102mm)
pistons but was electronically governed to no more than 3500 rpm. He didn't
cite any HP (or, PS) figures.

I asked if the fugly chrome array on the FI side was reworked, he
ackwoldeged, "No, still there."

That's all the rumours I can spread for now.
