Went through the same thing, I had a VFR once and it took me 5 years of
aching wrists and butt to realize that the sport-tourer is the way to go.
Sportbikes sure have an appeal, but not after 2 hours of interstate :).
Sometimes we just have to go through stuff.  You're better off than me, you
came to your conclusion without losing any money!
