Scott,

The adjustment is simply a series of flat washers of various thicknesses, 
inside the body.  Just unscrew the bolt holding it on the end of your 
handlebar.  Be careful not to spill the washers, then take out one of the 
thinnest and reinstall.  This will put the end of the throttle lock closer 
the the grip.  Make sure you have good freeplay with the unit disengaged.
