This is kind of a question but not meant to be argumentative.
Aren't you making an assumption that you have 95 RON and 83 MON to get that
89 Pump Octane???   I was always under the assumption that RON and MON are
computed using different factors so that knowing one is not a guarantee of
knowing both.
It would be nice if Triumph would spec RON, Pump or whatever system used in
countries where they were sold.

Just something to consider.  I ride in the boonies a lot.  I have even run
into the old pump into a glass jar on the top of the pump stations in West
Virginia.  In that case you run what they got.  It doesn't take an
accountant to figure that the overwhelming number of stations sell more
regular than premium.  Although I don't have any stats, I'd bet they sell
more premium than middle grades.  The point being that you are probably
pumping more crud than you would care to from premium gas than regular when
you are at lower volume stations.  It's probably worse with the in between
stuff.
