Just curious....but why would you want to turn off your headlight anyhow?

Rod:
You won't have light switches on a US market/production bike. I bought the
switch assembly from Jack Lilley, Ltd in UK via internet and installed it
myself. Now I can turn my headlights off and on with a Triumph factory
(stock) part....not intended for the USA. Cost: $74 delivered to my door in
6 days from London.
I believe that you might have a different type of oil sump/sight glass on
your engine. If you look on the headstock of your bike on the right side,
you can read the actual "build date" (month/year) of your bike. My '00 ST
was actually assembled in JUL '99. I purchased it in late NOV '99.
