Exactly what I did too, works perfectly.  Would have been happier to find
that socket in a 6 point but you takes what you can gets.  I carry the
socket, the adaptor, the T-55 for the front calipers, and the socket for
the front wheel under my seat in case I have to go to a shop or service
station that doesn't have such.
