[ST] RS vs. ST pricing quotes I obtained and some other info. ;)

$9400 OTD '03 Silver Sprint ST w/ bags

Dealer 2:
$9000-9100 OTD '02 Sprint St w/ bags, probably any '02
color

Dealer 3:
$7500 OTD '02 Yellow Sprint RS in FLA have to arrange
shipping (ugh not again!)

Dealer 4:
$9059 OTD '03 Silver Sprint ST, Bags in stock, but
need to be mounted (for free)

Dealer 5:
$8700 OTD '02 Black Sprint RS Demo w/ 15 miles  

Dealer 6:
$8349.50 OTD '02 Black Sprint RS leftover
$9649 OTD '03 Silver or Green Sprint ST w/  bags

Looks like it's down to an '02 leftover Black Sprint
RS for 8349.50 vs. an 02' leftover Sprint ST w/ bags
for $9000.

The question mulling in my head is.... I don't need
hardbags.  So it's the better handling of the RS
needing an ST Bar swap (~$200) or LSL kit ($300) vs.
the hardbags of the ST.  I could always sell the ST
hardbags if I wanted I suppose.  The difference in
price is 200-300 bucks in favor of the ST if I sell
the hardbags.

The question is....for those that have test driven the
RS (I haven't) and ST, is the handling of the RS worth
200-300 bucks more in the end?


My GF rides ~30% of the time, but seeing as the RS
pegs are a tiny bit higher (wouldn't bother me and
she's sorter than I) and I'd have equivalent or higher
bars on the RS, I don't think they'rd be much of a
difference.

Comments?  Opinions?  R these good prices?
