Dropped mine at about 5 mph in 1999 when I hit a patch of gravel turning into a strip mall.  Manhole cover, gravel, and curbs on both sides of a single lane.  Still should have missed it.

I wouldn't.  My rates have not gone up appreciably in 4 years.  $450/year, full comp, in Chicago burbs, with Met Life.  Note the ST gets 'touring bike' rates from some insurers, regardless of bhp, because Triumph calls it a tourer, unlike the Daytona and S3.
