Re: [ST] Electrical Accessories

Don,

I purchased a set of mood LED lights for auto interiors and tied them
into the lead going to the Turn Signal indicator lamp. The small LEDs
were mounted on the inside of the windscreen with the wires running down
behind the plastic trim strip on the back of the windscreen mounts.

These LEDs are very bright and you can not ignore them when the Turn
Signals are on. A good visual indication that you indeed have them on
and you will definitely not leave them on after a turn unless you ride
with your eyes closed.

Cost was approx. $12 US for the set at Advance Auto Parts and they have
worked very well so far. Much cheaper than the $99 TS canceller units
and the LEDs mount on a small swivel clip so you can rotate them down at
night if the brightness is too much.

The are out of the way and unobtrusive and almost look like they belong
there. Mine were made by WinPlus and are called Dash Mood Light Set. I
think they had blue and red colors. Mine are blue and they look pretty
neat flashing , even if you are not looking at the instruments, they
catch your attention.

Just my cheap and dirty way of preventing what I consider an accident
waiting to happen when I forget to cancel my signals.
