Forgot one:

If, for some reason, the ST is not the last bike you ever own, you can
take the givi topcase and get a new adaptor or mounting kit for a rack
and probably use it on your next bike.  The ST topbox will fit another
ST or RS, and maybe a Trophy, but I don't think even a Tiger, though I
could never confirm that when I considered getting a Tiger and had an ST
topbox.
