I have *just* replaced my '99 chain and sprockets with an OEM (DID)
endless chain and OEM from 18T and an AFAM 45T hard anodised rear.

The jump from 43T to 45T on the rear is much better suited to UK or
European roads IMHO giving better flexibility at lower gears and
lower rev ranges at the expense of top speed and (possibly) fuel
consumption (although as I consistently "forgot" to find 6th I may
actually find my fuel consumption improves :-) )
