i went to the HSTA rally in Gassville, Ar the weekend of May 3rd - three
days of two lane delight. when i got back, i could hardly walk from the
sore quads from hunkering left and right in the twisties - kinda like your
sore legs from the first day out in skiing season. great time.
on one route [341?] we were hustling along; in the tight uphill section,
we had to adjust our line - to accommodate a LOADED LUMBER TRUCK that had
run out of gas at the apex of a right hander. long, pole-like, overhanging
tree trunks, with one little red shop rag tied on the end.
good thing we were on the Pace [though my front tire looked like a
fugitive from a track day], and just shook our heads and rode by.
cheers
