I was just talking to the guys at the Triumph dealer around here yesterday -
they say that Triumph has made the new connectors with a little bit
thicker/stronger plastic. So I would say that Triumph is aware of the
problem. Whether this solves it......?

Subject: [ST] Quick Connector
Lot's of ppl I've heard of have around here have had failures with the fuel
line quick connectors on the Sprint. I myself had one fail whilst I was
riding
that resulted in gas pouring over the back of the hot motor onto the hot
exhaust!
Surely this is dangerous, has anyone been incinerated yet? If anything
warrants
a recall that item surely does, anyone know if one is in the pipes, or is
Triumph
trying to pretend it's not as problem? I'm about to purchase my third brand
new Sprint and that particular problem is the only thing that would sway me
away from buying what is otherwise a near perfect machine.
Cheers,
Mick.
