[ST] ?engaged

When the clutch lever is pulled, the clutch disengages-the plates separate. 
Release the lever and the clutch engages, the plates come together, and power 
is transmitted through it. 
In addition, there is some confusion between automobile and motorcycle 
terminology regarding clutch postion. When the motorist takes his foot off the 
clutch, he lets it in, and the clutch engages. When he steps on the clutch, he puts 
it out, and it becomes disengaged. Motorcyclists tend to get it backwards, 
and talk about pulling the clutch in, which disengages it.
