[ST] ST electrical options

Dave:
You can purchase a Triumph tank bag which comes with an electrical plug and plug it into an additional plug you have added on the bike. There are extra places on the fuse block to add extra electrical items. The alternator is quite powerful, so as long as you are rolling you will be making lots of power. When you are stopped or traveling very slowly the alternator only makes a trickle so be careful.
The ST is a wonderful motorcycle. Many of us have done significant mods to the front forks/suspension by changing to Racetech springs and emulators and later switching to Ohlins, White, or Penske remotely controlled fully adjustable shocks.
Be aware that the ST throws off quite a bit of heat. You will feel it when stopped during the Summer months. The fuel sender often doesn't report fuel status accurately and fuel quick disconnects under the tank become brittle and break very easily if not handled carefully. Most of us have changed to aftermarket metal Q-D's. The stock windscreen will throw every bug directly into your face/visor. Most of us have changed to a "double-bubble" type screen to solve the airflow.
Aside from these "niggles", the bike performs flawlessly and handles very well with good fuel eficiency in all conditions. I am coming up on 4 years of perfect performace and don't plan on changing anytime soon.
Have a great test ride,
