In your message regarding [ST] Winter Gloves (UK) dated Thu, 23 Oct

Apropos the suggestion of heated grips.
I have, this evening just returned from Plymouth (the original one
not the one in the US) having spent the weekend in Brittany.
The air temperature along the A38 was 34.5 deg F (about 1 deg C)
I had a 1hr 20min ride at motorway speeds.
I was wearing Triumph Daytona Sport gloves (definitely a summer glove)
I had the heated grips on full (and my Klan heated waistcoat too :-) )
I was not at all uncomfortable apart from my toes were a little cool.
Had it been raining I would possibly have put on my winter gloves
(which were in my pannier).
Says it all really!
