RE: [ST] Oil Filter Won't Come Off - Now What?

Yeah, that Triumph oil filter wrench doesn't work well getting the filter
off, but you can't over tighten the filter when you use it to put it back
on!

Be very careful using the screwdriver through the filter trick on the
Triumph. It's pretty easy to put the screwdriver through the oil pan.

Get a large pair of channel locks pliers and work on the filter. The filter
may look like a soda can that's been on the freeway for awhile when you are
done, but it should work.

Got a new rear mounted and decided to do my 6K oil change. Drained the oil.
Went to take off the Triumph filter using the Triumph oil filter wrench and
the damn wrench just slides on the filter. Tried wedging some cloth/etc
between filter and wrench and THAT slips.

Perhaps stupidly decided to try the forceful approach and stuck a
screwdriver into the filter to leverage it, but the filter case just rips.

Got any suggestions?
