RE: bc800 install(Re: [ST] Re: top speed in X gear)

The difference in the BC800 and the majority of the other bicycle computers
is that the BC800 has a three digit display. Most of the others only have a
two digit display. I guess if you never get over 99mph you can use any of
them but why limit yourself. :)

You all realize ANY bicycle computer will work. There is nothing at all
special about the BC800. In fact, Trek sells a low priced one that is
superb and easy to use. I have 2 of those. I wish I'd bought a 3rd one
for my Ti bike. It has a $$$ computer that displays temp, altitude, feet
climbed and who knows what else. It's too hard to remember what button to
push to get the next feature. The more expensive Trek computer adds temp
for about $40.

Dunc,
I'm in San Antonio and had the same problem. I never did find a shop that
had them in stock but did find one that was willing to order it for me.
I also believe you can order them online. Have you looked online yet?

btw don't forget to order the rear wheel mounting kit, as our forks are
longer than bicycle forks.
