I know you've got an Echo and not a Sigma computer but you might check this

Not the best solution as it runs off of a battery but I'm of a mind to not
hard-wire everything onto the bike.

i have an Echo F1 on mine from a local bicycle shop, and like it very
much. one button, waterproof, easy to read. i did the rolling wheel
estimate, then did an adjustment after running 50 miles on the Interstate.
now i gotta rig up a light so i can see it at night...
