Yeah, but while under warranty I would use the expensive 4T oil.  That way
you don't give Triumph an excuse not to honor warranty should anything go
wrong.

After your warranty expires I highly recommend Golden Spectro 20W50.  It's
only 5.99/qt. vs. the 10.99/liter for the 4T.  I used it in my 1986 Yamaha
Radian (35000mi), and my 1994 Gold Wing(48000mi).  Never had a problem.  I
doubt the triple is more sophisticated to require special oil.  Heck, I even
used Duralube in both those motorcycles without any problems clutch or
otherwise.  Hmmmm.  Having said that, maybe I'll put Duralube in my RS on
the next oil change.

Whether you go dino, semi, or full synthetic is largely up to you, though I
believe Triumph is still recommending going directly to the Mobil One full
synthetic.
