Ouch. I'm doing the bulk of my 12K service myself (in progress as I type), but am going to let the shop do the valves and throttle balancing. I hope I'm saving myself a good chunk o' change with some sweat equity. If nothing else, I have some new tools and a better feel for how my bike is put together.

Biggest surprise: those spark plugs are really buried. Remove body panels, gas tank, airbox, coils and then you can finally see them WAY down there...
