[ST] ST longevity/reliability

I am currently on my 3rd Sprint ST:

'00 Sprint - 10,500 miles (killed by cage driver)
 * Clutch Cable replaced on recall
 * Fuel sender replaced under warranty
'01 Sprint - 21,340 miles (trade in)
 * Mirrors replaced under warranty (pivots worn out)
 * Fuel connector split whilst riding (replaced under warranty)
 * Front brakes - developed my own fix
 * Oil usage - started to get unusually high, so I traded it in (someone else's
problem now)
'03 Sprint - 6,400 miles so far
 * New tune makes it backfire a bit - I think I like it though : )
 * Fuel sender is inaccurate but I couldn't be bothered, just use the trip meter
 * Fuel connectors awaiting replacement on recall

I'd rate the Sprint 9/10 as far as modern motorcycles go, it only loses a point
because of the outrageous cost of parts and service. But I suppose if I had a
Ducati I'd really have something to whine about :-)
