I'm also experiencing vibration from the front tire using the Avons. I
had the shop rebalance, said it was a tad off, but still have vibration
or shimmy between 40 and 80 mph.

I decided to try the Avon Azaro AV45/46. I did about 100 street miles on
them and then did a track day. They performed just fine on the track :)
Both foot pegs are now a little lighter (I removed the feelers after my
first session).

After the track day I headed off up to VT for a couple of days of
riding/camping. One thing I noticed is that the Azaros seem to vibrate
more. When the tires were mounted it was necessary to add 7 1/4oz weight
to both the back and front tire. This is considerable more than has ever
been needed on my bike. The rear tire was manufactured in the 18 week of
2004 and the front in the 42 week of 2003.

I am trying to decide if I should take the bike back to the mechanic and
have him re-check the front wheel balance. This bloke thinks the Azaros
vibrate more
http://tinyurl.com/676po
and they certainly have a deep thread. Has anyone noticed an increase in
buzziness with the Azaros?
