[ST] Heated Grip Relay
- Subject: [ST] Heated Grip Relay

My heated grips recently stopped working - not that I need them much in
SC, but every once in awhile....
I don't have the installation instructions for the heated grip kit,
since I bought the bike used. After doing some troubleshooting, though,
I came upon a relay that attaches to one of the short harnesses which
connects to the L and R grip leads. It appears to be dead, since
battery voltage applied directly to the primary side does not cause
continuity between the secondary prongs. (I double checked my test
setup against a good relay, so I'm confident I'm doing it right.)
Question - is this relay available for ordering from Triumph separately
(P/N on the unit is 11B0399)? Is it a standard relay that I could also
get from Honda, etc.? And why does the grip circuit need its own relay?
Any advice would be appreciated.
