Re: [ST] Fuel Life

I doubt that your fuel is much different than anywhere else.

Fuel stabilizer is added when it is anticipated that a vehicle will sit
for more than a few months. After you add it to the tank, you must run
the engine for awhile to be sure the stabilizer gets to where it is
needed the most. Cleaning carbs and injection systems is a BIG
moneymaker for motorcycle shops just before the riding season begins.
Next time you're in an automotive store ask someone about it.

On the other hand, if you don't hibernate your vehicle regularly, it is
entirely conceivable that you might not have heard of it.

It's used quite commonly in other recreational/seasonal vehicles too
(outboard motors, snowmobiles, etc.) and also in fuel containers that
also might get stored in the off season.

Cheers,
Neil
