I do apologise if my response gave you the impression I was implying you
are stupid - I never for a moment thought so and thought you asked a
reasonable question. Since I am severely myopic myself I am also
constantly looking for alternatives to standard lenses. I have been a
SCUBA diver since my teens and had Coke-bottle lenses in my early mask with
the glass at least an inch from my eyes. My modern, streamlined, mask is
much closer and therefore optically much improved with significantly less
distortion. I also am a physician and have looked at a variety of
operating glasses as I entered the age of needing them, so I certainly
understand your question.
