There's outbraking most cars, and there's outbraking most drivers. I've observed that most drivers 
in the US don't have any idea how hard they can brake.

Not that I'm about to bet my life that I can outbrake any particular driver, but I'll also never bet 
that they can brake at all. I hate tailgaters.
