RE: For Nate - RE: [ST] Pilot Road's (was Dunlop)

George and others,

Thanks for the alternate suggestions, but ordering online brings me back to
the "where to get them mounted" and "should I support my local dealer"
debates. On the one hand I'm all for supporting the local guy, they treat
me exceptionally well and I want them to be around for a long time, on the
other hand they quoted me $180ish for the rear Pilot Road and $120ish for
the front plus mounting. As far as I know they have a strict policy against
mounting tires not purchased at the dealership :(. Now, I'm sure I could
find a place to mount tires that I ordered online but I can imagine the
flack that I would get upon bringing the bike in for it's 18k service in two
weeks. I'm neither poor nor rich but saving a hundred bucks is saving a
hundred bucks. Ugh. I guess I'll give the local, non-brand associated
dealer a call and see what they charge for mounting tires.

I just ordered and received a set of Pilot Roads about 2 weeks ago from
here:

Give them a try. If you order a set there's no charge for shipping.

George
