I've gone through two such gaskets.  The first one was under factory 
warrantee, and the second one was covered by my dealer's 12-month 
warrantee for any parts they install.  The second one has held for 
almost two years, and nearly 15,000 miles.  (Yes, my mileage was down 
last year--hush! :-)
