Garry,
I currently run my fork tubes 12mm above the stock setting.  This corrected
the tendancy for the front end to run wide in high speed sweepers caused by
my more rearward weight bias due to my Tiger-ish upright riding position.
This has quickened steering response nicely with no loss of straight line
stability.  On  your RS, which starts out with a bit more radical specs,
12mm may be too much.  You might want to start out in the 5-7mm range and
work from there.
