Re: [ST] Something funny



I didn't really do a good job describing what I do think is good about
the article.  The author states that we've had a significant decrease
in motorcycle related accidents (40% rings a bell) since 1991.  This is
significant given that motorcycle registrations have increased 
since that time.   At the same time that accidents have decreased and 
registrations increased, fatalities have increased. 

He states that the numbers show that it's not alcohol, helmet usage, skills, 
speed that are the cause.  I don't have the article in front of me so I may 
be missing some things.  It's nice to see that despite the rough environments
we find ourselves in, we're doing a better job, showing better judgment, 
and getting in fewer accidents.  

As I mentioned I don't buy the build up to the SUV argument, but
I think the article is worth reading as I'm not Omnipotent, or even 
bright.  I may, nay am, likely to have missed something beneficial.
MCN, IMO is a stand up mag.
