Re: [ST] for Chris - clutch cable

The cable usually breaks at one end or other, most often at the handlebar
end. If the cable end is not pivoting in the lever as the clutch is used,
the cable strands will fail due to metal fatigue. When this condition
occurs, the clutch freeplay will often increase. These broken strands are
clearly visible if you look at the underside of the lever.

If you get in the habit of regularly performing safety inspections you can
find all sorts of failures *before* they leave you at the side of the road
(or worse!).
