Thanks all for responding to the dead battery issue.  The engine light 
went out as said after three cycles, but still am going to take to a 
friend who used to be a triumph dealer.  He still has a Triumph 
diagnostic tool and will run the bike through testing for me.  Something 
caused the initial failure and if it failed once my luck tells me it 
will fail again.  So I must find the cause.  I think it is the charging 
system, but do not want to fork out big dollars for electrical parts 
unless it is necessary.  The turn signals seem to put a drain on the 
system at idle as I can see the signal dimming the dash lights with each 
pulse.  I'll post to let all who responded know what the outcome is 
after I take the bike in on Wednesday.  Again thanks to all for the help.
