I know that a suspension guru was very unimpressed with the damping
adjustment on my less than 2 year old ST shock.

The conclusion was that it was fully adjustable between Sh*t and Hopeless.

Apart fro the usual Hagon - Ohlins - Penske (WP?) alternatives, you might
contact HyperPro too. As well as spring kits, they do emulsion shocks at a
(I think) reasonable rate. When my shock finally wears out (or I get enough
spare cash ... ok you can stop laughing now ...) I'll probably investigate
that and get the cartridge emulators for the front at the same time.

The only alternatives I can think of are a "previously enjoyed" example
from the usual breakers such as Sprint Manufacturing, Lynx motorcycles in
Lincoln and Triumph'ant in Wales.

As I'm pretty sure the shock is a pretty standard Showa unit, it might be
worth seeing if it is used on other manufacturer's machines.

Sorry I can't offer more suggestions, but let us know what you find.

Good hunting,

Stephen McS.
