Re: [ST] Batteries

If you have one battery go bad in a season, that's one thing; but to have a
battery go bad just about every riding season is like finding the bad needle
in haystack every time you get a new battery. That is why I made the
recommendation to check the alternator or voltage regulator. Don't know how
it works on the Sprints but many new alternators have the voltage regulator
as a totally integral part. That's sad because a well designed voltage
regulator can save your battery from a bad alternator or be a cheap(er) fix
than an entire alternator. With luck the alternator should be able to be
bench tested to nail down the problem. If it turns out to be the problem,
get it out of there before it fries other parts like an ECU.
