RE: [ST] Tire Pressure on a Worn Rear



Lowering the tire pressure will put a bit more center tread on the ground,
but it will also create more heat in the tire which will wear the tire out
faster, though that late in the tire's life, there may only be a few miles
difference.  If you want to maximize tire life, run the higher pressures,
run slower speeds, accelerate and brake gently and don't ride when the
pavement temps are high.  Heat is generally what kills tires.  Tires will
last longer if you can minimize that heat.
