[ST] HP Restrictions?

Does anyone know if the US has a HP cap on sport bikes?  When I was at a
Honda dealer, discussing the up coming CBR1000RR I was told it won't have
more than 150HP because of US regulations.

Last night I was watching Two Wheel Tuesday, and the 2004 Yamaha R1 has 180
HP.

Does anyone know the truth?
