Power losses from the crank to the rear wheel include every gear and
bearing the the power passes through, primary drives, transmission,
power to drive the alternator, chain efficiency, and rear wheel
bearings. Generally the rear wheel hp is about 80-85% of the crankshaft
hp. Crankshaft HP is straight of the crankshaft with nothing else
attached to the engine. A meaningless number except to advertisers and
engineers.
