There is enough slack in the fuel lines to lift the tank. With two people,
I did it without disconnecting to change out the air filter. Just be
careful if you have those plastic elbows on the fuel lines.....

Whoops, that was a typo, I meant gas tank. Supposedly you can remove the
bolts and lift the tank without disconnecting the gas line/s. There should
be enough slack to view the sticker. What fun! I live in San Diego. I don't
know how stringent they're going to be but I don't want to take any chances.

emissions.

That is one place we checked yesterday. The computer is under the seat, and
it has the secondary VIN number that they needed, but I could not find any
EPA type stickers on the bike whatsoever.
Alan, what area are you in? I am in south Orange County. I hear LA county is
a little more stringent on the requirements. I really do not see the point
as we have 7500 miles on the machine, so the EPA sticker should be a moot
point.
