I just got my April Roadracing World. They compared the 2004 ZX-10R,
CBR1000R and GSX-R1000. They put them on the dyno and weigh them
with full fuel tanks.
ZX-10R: 161.9 HP, 80.5 lbs-ft, 430 lb (claimed dry weight=375lb)
CBR100R: 153.2 HP, 78.5 lbs-ft, 467 lb (claimed dry weight=396lb)
GSX-R1000: 150.5 HP, 77.7 lbs-ft, 442 lb (claimed dry weight=396lb)
The only minor cheat is that ZX-10R only has a 4.5 gal tank, the others have
4.8 gal tanks.
For some reason the mag could not get an R1 to test. This is strange since I
have seen two on the street. But a guy in Oregon had one and put it on a
dyno (different then mag but should be close)
R1: 156.0 HP, 76.0 lbs-ft
The ZX-10R is unreal. At 430 lbs it is lighter then a CBR600RR.
In the same issue the 2004 GSX-R600 was 428 lb (354lb dry claim). The
2004 R6 was 423 lb (357lb dry claim).
