Re: [ST] OT:Dead Rock Stars (was: luggage rack)

MP3 Players
I'm using a new Apple iPod 20GB on the bike, no skips, errors or dropouts,
has about 3,200 songs on it with room for another 500 or so. Great quality,
easy software.

> Man I would have loved to see any of them...unfortunately, they were dead
before I was born. In fact Jim Morrison kicked off a mere 12 hours before my
arrival on this earth.
> I saw Hendrix in 1968 (Feb) at Hunter College in Manhattan- his first
American tour. I was 5 months shy of turning 17. Also witnessed his
appearance at Woodstock, with about 20,000 people remaining from a crowd of
300,000. Janis Joplin's first east Coast tour brought her to the Stanley
Warner theatre in Jersey City, NJ, where a fire marshall stopped the show
because all 3,000 people were standing on their seats. Janis offered him a
slug of Southern Comfort, and he left in a huff. The Doors played Fillmore
east 3 or 4 times while I was in high school in Jersey, Morrison was an
amazing talent before he became a fat drunken turd. Too bad, so many great
talents lost. Brian Jones from the Stones drowned in a swimming pool on my
18 th birthday-= July 3, 1969. God I'm old, but I got my AARP card! I
guess I'll be getting a good deal on Depends pretty soon.....

preference. I'd like a hard drive type player out there, but are they
consistent enough? Do they skip or lose their place with all the abuse? It
seems like a much better option, given that most solid state MP3 players are
way too small.

for a couple of years with no plugs a while back, I've already suffered all
the permanent tinitus that I'd like to. What are people using?
