RE: [ST] OT:Dead Rock Stars (was: luggage rack)

Greetings:

I have been using a Sony Mini Disc Player until recently.

However, I purchased a 20Gb Apple I-POD about a month ago, and it is
brilliant. Great sound, no skip at all - even over bumpy roads, and the
sound quality is maginificent.

I have about 500 songs on it...with about another 2000 to go before I
fill the storage space.

As for earplugs..I have used two - the Sony Fontopia MX71
earbuds....very very good indeed with very good noise reduction.

This week, I purchased a set of KOSS "The Plug" earphones. Better noise
reduction, a fuller, deeper sound. Their high frequency sound is not
quite as good as the Sony, but now they are favoured. If you do
purchase the KOSS, be sure to "run them in". They take a couple of hours
to loosen up and give their best bass performance, and their padding
takes about the same time to loosen up and become comfortable as well.

I Tunes is not a bad piece of software either.

Cheers

Man I would have loved to see any of them...unfortunately, they were
dead before I was born. In fact Jim Morrison kicked off a mere 12 hours
before my arrival on this earth.

Thank god for the recording industry.

Speaking of music, who out there is using an MP3 player? What is your
preference. I'd like a hard drive type player out there, but are they
consistent enough? Do they skip or lose their place with all the abuse?
It seems like a much better option, given that most solid state MP3
players are way too small.

Also, I want to get some earplugs with good noise reduction. After
riding for a couple of years with no plugs a while back, I've already
suffered all the permanent tinitus that I'd like to. What are people
using?
