I beg to differ,  different maybe,  but no better or worse, but each to thier
own.  I have done the alps in 99 and 2001.
I will be going back to Swizerland this year to stay at a Chalet.

Next year it's the Pyrenees.  

[1] Bikes can be locked up in the garage.  It's owners live less than 20 miles
from me in South Wales, hence the Welsh flag in the garden.
