Ed,
This is a pure guess, but I would bet your ECU just died.

When I bought mine I went to pick it up and they said they could not get it
to run right, come back on Monday.  I did.  It ran but died when I went over
a hill of about 1800 feet.  They said I needed a new fuel injection unit.
To make a long story short I proved to them it was an altitude dependant
thing.  Replaced the ECU and haven't had a problem since.  Like you, it ran
fine until it hit a certain point, in my case it as altitude, then just went
belly up.  Everything looked good but no fire.
Just something to look at,
