I've had that happen a couple of times, always when I ran the bike
for a lengthy time in fairly warm weather at a brisk pace, down hill.
I've had it happen most often stopping in Dinsmore on 36 after coming
down the grade. I just make sure I get the bike shut down quickly and
don't let it idle.
I assume it's the oil thinning out from the heat, and possibly with
the bike running downhill for a time the oil ends up somewhere other
than the sump?
