RE: [ST] What's *your* mileage?



I'm 6' and weigh 190-195 at any given time. 

I got 42 mpg for the first two and a half years. And pretty consistently, too. It went up to almost 50 on all-day tours. 

Counterintuitively, after switching to a smaller front sprocket (18t), my MPG have gone up. For example, my last tank was about 45. I think it is because I'm driving a bit slower. With the 19t sprocket, my ideal cruising speed on commutes was around 80-82 mph. This pinned the tach at just under 5k rpms (before the buzz). The smaller sprocket has placed that tach speed around 75 mph. Go figure, I'm driving slower, and getting better economy.
