[ST] fork springs in old vs new ST's

Jeremy:
The older model ST's had very soft suspension. The OEM
springs were anemic. Most of we earlier owners
"upgraded" our fork internals by installing Racetech
springs and emulators. The Racetech upgrade made a
world of difference to my '00 ST.
The '02> models got much stiffer springs (and a
redesigned engine) which has eliminated the need for my
needing to Racetech the '03 model I now own. I have no
idea what Bryce is talking about when he mentions
"damper rods" in our forks.
Stay safe out there,
