Re: [ST] Not a trumpy in sight

Blake and I hit the show in San Mateo Sunday. They had a pre-production
ST there that our first impressions is that it looks much better in
person than it did in the pictures. But being a pre-production unit,
they had it on a pedestal and you couldn't sit on it, and they didn't
have the luggage. They are supposed to have them on dealers floors in
Feb. but given their usual schedule, it will probably be more like
March.

Hits:
Underseat exhaust
Details like rear peg hangers are beautifully executed and polished,
hope those make it into production units.

Blake liked the white LED taillights, I would have prefered red. Blake
liked the new wheels, I think they're going to be too hard to clean
(assuming I would ever clean them in the first place).

Misses:
We both wondered if the extra 100cc is really needed, given there is
likely to be an insurance penalty. But the new motor is lighter than
the 955, so for those of you who feel the need for more power, feel
free to sign up.

Triumph had several Rockets there. The first one we saw there was a guy
who stood about 5'-4" sitting on it. Boy did that make it look huge.

Best of show: An Agusta MV F4 painted in black with a candy blue frame.

Worst of show: Honda Rune - What the hell were they thinking?
